... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Friday morning through late
Friday night above 3500 feet...

The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Winter
Storm Watch above 3500 feet... which is in effect from Friday
morning through late Friday night for the mountains of western
Plumas County... Lassen park... and the northern Sierra.


* Snow accumulations: a foot or more over higher elevations.

* Elevation: 4500 feet dropping to 3500 feet by late Friday night.

* Timing: snow beginning Friday morning then becoming heavy during
the day and continuing overnight.

* Locations include: Chester

* winds: southerly gusts exceeding 50 mph.

* Impacts: hazardous driving conditions for mountain roads such as
Interstate 80... Highway 50... and Highway 70.
