Friday Night...Snow showers in the evening...then snow showers likely after midnight. Snow accumulation of 2 to 3 inches. Lows in the lower 20s to lower 30s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph shifting to the south around 5 mph well after midnight. Chance of snow 80 percent.

4000 feet remains in effect from 1 PM to 10 PM PST Friday.
* Snow accumulations: snow will accumulate 1 to 3 inches by
daybreak Friday. An additional 6 to 12 inches of snow at
elevations above 4000 feet Friday morning through Friday
evening. The snow level will drop to around 3500 feet for Friday
afternoon and evening with 3 to 6 inches of snow expected
between 3500 and 4500 feet.
* Timing: a cold front will move across the area on Friday.
* Impacts: this storm system will create hazardous driving
conditions on higher portions of I-5... US Highway 97... and
California highways 3... 89... and 99 after 8 am Friday through
Friday evening.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. If you must
